When I get a flash of lights. I am thinking "what did I do?" Apparently I was speeding, although the dude next to me was going about 5 miles faster than me. Either way, I got a warning, I am kind of annoyed at myself. Not gonna lie, kind of beat up over the whole fact that I got a warning.

you were in the sports car so you got pulled over. It always happens to me. I was pulled over doing 118 in a 110 zone, when a semi (tractor trailer) was overtaking me, even though it was legally limited to 100

That is true, I guess that is the choice I made, but I feel like such a terrible driver. Maybe I am just a crazy. . .

I have to admit this took me a moment.

Should feel relieved instead. In this era of revenue generation quotas...

Its all about the car you drive, you're in a car that looks fast and I'm in a car that looks like a mom is driving it, the cop is probably not pulling over the mom to make his quota. That's what I've learned in all my time speed in a Rav 4.

Were you being unsafe, or just driving quickly?
Speeding isn't really that bad depending on where/when. Speeding through a school zone at 3PM on a school day? Speeding around blind corners in the rain? Bad. Speeding down a straight road on a dry day with little traffic around? Not great, but not that bad.

It was 2 in the morning in the middle of an empty straight road, with no one around. I think what happened was, at one of the lights, I accelerated briskly(short shifted at 5k) noticed I was at 55 and then brought it down. He didn't pull me over there, it was way later down the road. Either way, he says he had me at 55.

Yeah, so it could have been worse. Take it for what it is: a warning, use your head next time.
I can't judge, I was blasting down the roads from friends house at 11 last night. Damn turbo noise is going to get me arrested...at one point I hit 70 in a 40.

I think all car guys are guilty of speeding, I just got caught. This was the first time I have ever been pulled over, I was pretty nervous. Hopefully it won't happen for another 6 years!!

I think everyone is guilty of speeding. I've only been pulled over once doing 84 in a 75, and I was pretty annoyed by it. There was no one within 4 miles of me, and it was daytime. Got a ticket and everything.

That sucks, worst part is, 95% of the time the posted speed limit is just to slow for the flow of traffic. You can't really hate the officer though, he is just doing his job.

That sucks, I have not been ticketed directly for speeding yet * Knocks on wood* and I have been pulled over for it 4 or 5 times I try to be as nice and cooperative with the officer as I can so far its gotten a few 300$ tickets knocked down to 'not obeying a posted sign' which is a 90$ ticket which I will gladly pay.

I guess, but there's gotta be a better use of his time than writing me my first ever ticket for driving slightly over the speed limit on a newly refinished interstate in the middle of Kansas.

you're pretty lucky to have not been fined though. Count your blessings. I mostly stick to the speed limit now only because petrol is too expensive to waste.

I was pulled over in a known speed trap (entering Estelline, TX. Look it up) before I knew it was a speed trap. I missed the 55mph drop from 70 (I'm still not sure the sign was there,) but saw the 50mph upcoming a hundred feet later and slowed down. However by the time I slowed down it was too late because I had been doing 70 in a 55 (for all of 100 ft.) My only speeding ticket ever, caused by a moments inattention, which is all it takes.
I hope they were happy with the 120 dollars, because I never again stopped in that town to buy gas or food. And I made that drive twice a month for 3 years. I encourage everyone not to ever stop in that town just because of that very specific speed trap.

What? Nooooo, people can solve their own problems. Sorry woman about to get murdered, I gotta write this ticket here.
